PALM DESERT, Riverside County — The City of Palm Desert now directs residents and visitors looking for maps, local attraction information and travel assistance to its Visitor Services operation inside the Palm Desert Public Library.
The city lists the service desk at 73300 Fred Waring Drive and says staff can advise on local activities, events, attractions and practical questions about the Coachella Valley. The location brings tourism information into a public community building rather than relying exclusively on a stand-alone retail-style office.
Published hours and contact details
According to the city, the Visitor Services operation is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.–6 p.m., and Sunday, 1–5 p.m. Contact numbers are 760-568-1441 and 800-873-2428, and the published contact email is vcenter@palmdesert.gov. Holiday hours can differ, so a call before a special visit is sensible.
The desk serves both tourists and people who live in Palm Desert. Residents entertaining guests can use it to learn about local public attractions and community activities; visitors can request destination information without assuming the staff can make purchases or guarantee ticket availability.
The new placement is also a reminder that community libraries increasingly provide access to more than books. For many users, having visitor information and library resources at the same location can make planning a local outing easier.
